See them rolling in the mud
chasing each other, no fear
petting the dog and running the distance
they're army boys, my dear.

see them telling the truth now
for them right and wrong is clear
they're shoveling snow from the drive
they're army boys, my dear

both of them tall and bright
serious, but full of cheer
they'll help you with anything anywhere

See them handling those guns
strapped up in a soldier's gear
it's not a game anymore, you see
they're army men, my dear.

See him saluting that sacred flag
note that the other ones not here
watch those tears pool and threaten to fall
because he's a lone Army Man now, my dear

Is it a bit cliche?? Thoughts?
