Beyonce to play Wonder Woman??!!!

Please don't let this be true! It can't happen! Surely they can find someone a bit more fitting for the role? And someone who can act. Beyonce can't.
I'd go with Jessica Biel myself - can act, is beautiful, has an athletic but feminine figure (see Blade:Trinity and Stealth for evidence), and has previous experience of action films (see previous point).

Whoever they choose though, I hope it's done correctly, and not just a cheesy camp-fest.

Beyonce though.... eurgh....

Hi,

I have seen 3 movies with Beyonce in it, the fighting temptations, dream girls and goldmember

the 1st 2 performances were ok, but she sang in them, which is why she was in them , and she is a GREAT singer, however when she had to act, she was awful

in golmember she was in fact Terrible, sorry to say that as i Like her a lot, but she stinks as an actress , maybe its the fact she cannot do comedy , who knows

as For wonder woman, a few years ago , would have given it to Lucy Lawless, she is probably too old for the role now.

but yup Jessica Biel is a good choice

hope it doesnt go to Megan Fox though, she has been mentioned for this also, again another good looker, but not that great an actress, imho

Terrible idea. Terrible actress and over saturated. Despite recent events, Megan Fox is the best bet. can act, gorgeous and is a comic geek.
 
I've never seen Wonder Woman so i can't decide if she is suitable.

but I've seen Beyonce in the film Caddilac RecorRAB. WOW. What a movie, she was incredible in it, all the casts were GREAT.

Dreamgirls was good as well

Having someone like Beyonce will get younger generation to check out the old version as well. I'll defo go and see the movie.
 
I've heard a few actresses attached to the project for year's now. My favorite for the role would be Jessica Beil. Though considering that 'Wonder Women' isn't that popular, they could cast an unknown, which i would be in favour of. As for Beyonce playing the role. I don't think she can act. I also don't believe their is a need to change Wonder women's skin colour.
 
I'm not being racist but Wonder Womans White, the way she says aswell 'A Black wonder woman' it's not gonna be realistic they should just stick to the original plot. Plus Beyonce can not act
 
It should've been Lucy Lawless when this project was first mooted, but she's now the wrong side of forty(though still looking damn fine), so she'd have to play her mother now.

Its not just watching the old series or the cartoons, there's over 50 years of comic book history. But Wonder Woman/Diana's history changes, has been retconned etc, so canon becomes confusing like most things in the DC world. But essentailly there is no NEED for her to be white.

Take a look at the first TV adaptation below. She had blonde hair! Admittedly it was a crap TV movie though. :D

Personally I don't care what colour skin/hair etc the woman who plays her has as long as she does a good job.
