BEWARE Tmobile Ripping off its customers

I am pretty sure, now, that Tmobile has a faulty minute counter, at least in
my case. I am on a family plan, basic 700, and whenver I call within
network, which is supposed to be a free call, the minute counter would
deduct the mintues from my Whenever 700 minutes. Guys, I would really
suggest you to be keep a close eye on your minutes. Their system is faulty. It happened with me last year too.

Let me give you an example to make it more clear to you. I logged into my account and noted down the whenever minutes used up until the specified online time stamp, Saturday, Oct 14th, 6:06 a.m and lets say 67 used min of 700 in my case. Now when I checked my minutes again in the evening around 6 p.m, the counter showed 97 of 700 used minutes until 12:02 p.m, Oct. 14th, Saturday.

Now I don't understand why the counter would take minutes away from
whenever minutes on a weekend and on top of that, all the calls were
Mobile to Mobile.

I've started to check back on my minutes more often now and to save a
copy ( hit Print Screen), every time I log in, for the specified time stamp to
use it as a reference to dispute with Tmobile later on.

I am not really surprised at this because this happened with me last year
too and the guy I spoke with about it admitted about this error.

But its just not easy convince these Tmobile customer reps about it, coz
they would tell ya their system is accurate and something's wrong at your
end.

Guys, beware....if suspicious, always add up your minutes, excluding the
free calls

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with their minutes?
Thanks.

No problems here either, in all the years I have had Tmobile.

I use the online counters to get an idea where I am for the month, not that I have ever been close to going over. I check out all the calls on my bills, at least a glance over, to make sure they all look right. It has all the numbers and how long the calls were on the bill. Add them up when you get it and see what you get.

Been with T-Mobile for many years now since Voicestream and I never had a problem with their billing.

I know that if you reject a call, it is count as 1 minute.
And I heard that if you check your VM, it will use your Whenever minute, not free. Could somebody confirm this?

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~also pay attention to your bill for charges like internet charges. When I had my SK2 I noticed my bill was over 100 and when I checked my bill it said internet roaming charge. I hadn't left my home city in almost a year. The only answer I could come up with was that when I went to work (3 blocks from my house) I switched from Tmobile network to Cingular. It hasn't happened on my BB yet but I wouldn't be supprised if it did. But tmobile did refund the diffrence. They said it was a billing error. Yeah ok if they say so.

i work in care for tmobile. you want to make sure you are not roaming this will not work for mob2mob. also you will be charged a minute if you don't answer because what you are paying for is air time not like a landline. so if you go overseas shut off you phone and check messages at the end of the day.

yes you are charged peak time if you check minutes during day unless you have mob2mob.

I'm not exactly sure what you are saying, but be aware that "Whenever" plans do NOT include free nights and weekends. Only "Whenever Plus" plans include free nights and weekends.

You say you have a Whenever plan. Are you sure that when you checked the counter on the weekend that no calls were made between those times and that you are erroneously thinking that the calls made that day were free.

Also, in Whenever plans, mobile to mobile are counted against your minutes. You have to get the "mobile to mobile" option to not have those count against your Whenever minutes.

Many T-Mo customers do not know how whenever plans work. I think they discontinued those plans after all those negative ads were aired. You know the ones where the guy complains and the custo rep says that the whenever plans meant "When?"... "Never."

Just a thought.

Just to add info on the rate plan I have, following was taken from Tmobile.com
"All our national voice plans include:

* No nationwide long-distance or roaming charges
* Unlimited weekend calling
* Nationwide Whenever Minutes

If you are talking about just the minutes used since last billing, it's probably a delay in posting. Posting of minutes is not instantaneous on any carrier's website. I've heard of 24 to 72 Hours or more for posting minutes. Don't go by when the show up there, go by what shows up in your bill.

If you are really worried call TMO Billing Customer Service and ask them for details, but my advice is to wait and check you detailled bill.

I definitely agree with you on this. He should talk to Tmobile. By the way I also have 700 whenever Min, which is unlimited on weekend, weeknight, and mobile to mobile. Additional min is .40/min
