BEV - OTA, QAM Confusion.

Does anyone know if Bell ExpressVu encrypts OTA HD signals also? I'm debating which cable company to go with, and the TV I'm buying will have a QAM tuner, so it'd be nice to get some HD channels...
 
Um, QAM is cable not satellite. BEV encrypts all the channels they transmit. OTA channels are ATSC and can be tuned by some BEV STBs like the 9200 using the internal ATSC tuner in the BEV STB and OTA is unencrypted obviously, otherwise no one would be able to see what's broadcast. You do need an antenna and if the TV has an ATSC tuner, then you could also tune into OTA channels that are broadcast in your area. See the OTA forum here for additional details on that.
