BEV NFL/NCAA football coverage.....questions.

I need help from some of the experts.
I have been lurking around this sight for a long time, but never posted.
I am thinking of switching from Rogers to Bell.
The main reason I am thinking of switching is for better football coverage. My problem with Rogers is the lack of HD football for the Sunday Ticket service. They usually give you 2 or 3 extra games in HD, but alot of the time one of those is already on HD.
For the amount of money I spent I should be able to get ALL the games in HD. Or at least a good chunk of them.

Also, with Rogers you get an NCAA footabll package with Sunday Ticket. Does Bell have an NCAA football package?

Bascially I want to know if I am better off switching to Bell, or just staying at Rogers (or even moving to StarChoice if it's better) for my football viewing pleasure?
Who as better prices?
Doeither Bell (or StarChoice) offer a Sports Pak like Rogers does?
How many games do I get in HD each week?
Do they have an NCAA Football package? How much is it?

I know have lots of questions, but I want to make sure I make the right decision.

Bell does offer a College Sports Package featuring basketball and football. They also offer a NFL Sunday ticket package featuring the most games in Canada.
 
Thanks. I've looked around the Bell website and can't find anything on either package.
Any idea how much each cost? Or is it an all in one deal?
Right now I am with Rogers and get the Super Sports Pak which costs me 29.99 a month, but I only have to keep it for 4 months. So once football season end I cancel. I usually keep it for 5 months and it costs me $150 and I get both NFL Sunday Ticket and NCAA football.
Do all the games come in HD? Rogers only has 3 extra HD channels for Sunday Ticket.
 
The whole Sunday Ticket thing is really the only thing keeping from making the switch. Everything else seems to be cheaper and better with Bell.
 
Last year Bell charged $44.95 x 4 for the sunday ticket and $99 for the NCAA package.

NCAA packages includes basketball as well.

Saturdays would have HD games all day from Big 12, Big 10 and a feature game in the evening from SEC, BIG 12, etc.

Apparently ESPN has signed a new deal with the SEC, so that should only make the package better.

The Bell NFLST package includes most of the HD Games available if not all (maybe 95-98%??)

I just switched from Rogers to Bell, mainly because its cheaper and I moved, however, I'm a huge sports buff like yourself and I had the Rogers super sports pack for over 5 years, it was great. The unfortunate thing about Bell is it doesn't have a super sports pack. You have to purchase each package individually which makes it 10 times more expensive. This is about the only positive thing I can say about Rogers that I miss.
I believe NFL Sunday Ticket will be about $200 for the season broke into 4 payments.

Hey ace66, I am the biggest Dolphins fan around, and I also live in Ottawa. If you ever want to get together and talk Miami Dolphins football, I'd be more than happy to.

As far as this thread goes, I think I've decided to stay with Rogers, because of the lack of a Sports Pak with Bell.
The price I would have to pay for the Sunday Ticket ($199) and the NCAA package ($99), pretty much negates any discount I would of received from switching to Bell.
 
Add me to the club that would switch tomorrow if Bell had an even remotely reasonably competitive sports package compared to Rogers/Cogeco.
 
The funniest part of it is when I talked to a Bell CSR the other day, he wouldn't believe me that Rogers had a sports pak for 30 bucks a month.
He said and I quote: "there's no way the offer all that for 30 bucks."
It was pretty funny how adament he was about it. How do these CSR's not know what the competition is doing?

I agree with all of you about the Rogers super sports pack but the only 2 things I really needed was sunday ticket and center ice. Trackpass was nice to have too I guess. So $400/yr for both with Bell compared to $360/yr for everything from Rogers. Anyways, I moved so I took advantage of the new subscriber offers from bell and made the change hoping that Bell will come up with something in the future thats competitive with the Rogers sports package. And Bell's HD just looks better.
