Has anyone else noticed that BEV HD audio levels have been all over the place this week? At first I thought it was just with the 2.0 encoding but then noticed it was just about all channels. I checked on a friends receiver also, just to make sure I was not hearing things.

Anybody know what the scoop is with this???

This issue has been reported many times on this forum. One example is below:

Last night when I was watching my recorded Jewel Concert on PBS, I had the volume on my AVR set to -20. Normally it's set to -50. That's 30dB of difference! I made very sure not to switch channels without lowering the volume first... (Part of the reason probably related to the fact that not only was this a DD5.1 programme, which is often softer, but they only used the LF & RF channels, therefore not as many speakers in play to add to the volume)

Feel free to complain to the service provider or to the affiliate in question so that they can perhaps do a better job of getting the volume the same.
