BEV 2700 and transponders?

Okay have a BEV 2700 and I am not receiving anything on the even numbered transponders only on the odds. I have checked and retightened all the connections, tried doing a reset and still nothing. I have searched for something in the forum but can't seem to find anything more than this. When I do a "view" under the check switch(btw I really have no idea what this does) it shows this
Switch Inputs
1 1 2 2
Sattelite 91 X X X
Transponders odd X X X

Now I'm no genius but logic tell me I should have something here that says "even" ---correct? Signal strength on the odds is 84% to 92% and nothing on the evens. Is there something I need to try and change(like the receiver perhaps?) Any help greatly appreciated>

Could be a bad LNB. If you know somebody who has a working system you could take your receiver over to his house and try it out.

If that isn't an option, unplug the cable from the LNB, do a check switch. Power off the receiver and then re-connect the LNB. Do another check switch.

hi,
i do have a 2700 receiver and i got all the channel except the one that you need the multi-satellite upgrade kit.
but, one thing i realized that i change my programmation on december 20th and it has change on my bill, but still got all the channel. i call again today, and they told me that the channel that I did not order will eventually disappeared but they had told me that the last time still i got all of them.
they said i wont be charge for them but who knows. did you have the same problem once? if yes, what did you do?

Try swapping the cable inputs at the input of the switch. If you have a bad LNB nothing will change. If you loose the odds then the switch is probably at fault

I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago and it wasn't a receiver thing, i.e. I've got a 2700 and two 3100s and I was losing odd transponders on whatever receiver I hooked up to one of the two lines running from the LNB. BEV CS was useless - they kept telling me to "test switch" even though I have no switches. I posted and a couple of replies suggested ensuring the cable ends didn't have any loose wires and replacing any cable connectors I was using (the two cables from the LNB enter the house and are then connected to the cables running to each receiver). The cable ends looked fine, but I replaced the connectors and the problem disappeared.

Hope this helps

thank you,

but what connectors? i am no good in electricity and electronic.

thanks again.

madamemartineau- I believe the responses were for the original poster. I would think that because your issue was unrelated to the original one that people disregarded it.

It is rarely a problem with the LNB or the switch. The check switch doesn't do anything but scan for signals at different voltages and frequencies. If you are missing odd or even transponders it is most likely a poorly installed connector or bad splice or a splitter that doesn't pass the power properly.

I'm having the same problem as the thread starter. CS was no help either. I've called 3 or 4 times and nothing they've suggested has worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I should also add that i'm having problems with another reciever, both the odd and even aren't working.
