Between what time is it okay to play music in your apartment without getting in trouble

when ppl complain? Moving out soon, and I hate listening to my MP3 ALL THE TIME!
What times during the day can I play music on my stereo without getting into trouble if neighbors complain?
 
Really depends upon your neighbors. Best case is you have soundproof construction and you can blast away 24 - 7 because your neighbors can't hear you. Worse case is that your walls are thin and your next door neighbor works third shift, i.e. when your awake he needs to sleep!

You can always try talking to the people around you and see what they will accept, but be aware of your safety as well.
 
every state and even cities are different. where i live it's until 10pm after that if the cops can hear your music outside your apartment you are in trouble...been there and done that.

just call your local police dept and ask them what times is it ok to play your home stereo.
 
Legally it's different everywhere, here for instance you can play music all you like until like 11:30pm (I think it's later on weekends) and after that the police would do something about it. To be honest though, regardless of whether they have legal grounds to complain or not it's probably not best to piss off your neighbours. I had a party at my unit the day after I moved in and ever since then my next door neighbour has made it her mission in life to try to get me evicted, despite the fact I've never done it again. She couldn't complain at the time either because it went all day and we just turned the music off after 11.

So even if you don't get into trouble officially (from your landlord or whoever) that won't stop your neighbours putting you under a magnifying glass and reporting you every time you do something remotely wrong, no matter how minor.
