I would buy the Cannondale due to the fact that it is not a part of the marketing giant Pacific Cycles. I believe that Cannondale was bought out by Dorel for 200 million dollars in 2007, so that means the 2004 model is unaffected and was made by a company known for making high quality bikes. Also, it is very unusual to see a Cannondale in Walmart, where Schwinn are commonplace.

i''m torn between an '04 cannondale r800 and an '07 Schwinn fastback comp. both are going for 500 and are in great condition but which one should i buy?
both bike retail for over $1000 but i don't really care about looks because i'm going to paint the frame anyway
