Right now they are in room temperature water. There is no heater in the tank. Should i Have a lamp on top of it 24/7?

how big is the tank?
either way, I don't think it's a good idea. the lamp probably won't distribute the heat evenly.
betta temps should be around 80 degrees. they should be fine for now, just try to invest in a heater. bettas are susceptible to diseases if their temps are too low
