so i cleaned my bettas fish tank this morning. but, there was bubbles everywhere i guess from just putting new water in it. so i thought that it would be a good idea to use a peice of cardboard to pop the bubbles so my betta could see better. but now there is many cardboard threads in the water. will this harm my fish? should i change the water?
its not i bubble nest i know what that looks like.

do you have an under gravel filter or aerator......as sometimes they can cause bubbles in the water as the bubble is made of protein....don't use cardboard just touch a few of the bubbles with your finger and most should pop...and it best to pop the so your betta can breath...if you keep using the cardboard it can harm the fish as cardboard is treated...

Bettas make bubble nests, it's instinct and in no way shows that a fish is "happy" so don't buy into that.

I would scoop out the cardboard threads though, don't imagine he'll be able to digest it well.

ok, it's just their bubble nest, which means they're happy from their water change, they don't really need to see from the top,lol

anyway, the cardboard part was bad, just net them out
