Betta fish questions...?

I have 4 male Betta's and they are all in separate tanks but a few friends of mine have said I am not aloud to let them see each other because they may get brain damage from headbutting their tank to get to the other fish, Can anyone tell me if this is true because the paper between them is really annoying, And can anyone give me some General tips about them? I know the most of it but I am new to this and I want to make sure all my fish are happy and healthy HELP?
 
i have a 10 foot L by eight inch H by eight inch W tank with cube compartments for my fighters each cube is 6" L 8"H 8"W with black partitions this is so they can not see each other & start displaying or trying to fight (it will stop stress nothing to do with brain damage) use blue or black card to show of the colour of your fish, they are very hardy if you give the the right water conditions, keep an eye on their feeding as going of their food is one of the first signs of stress with betta's stress can lead to death very quickly with this fish, so no flicking the glass to get them to display. & if you house them with other fish be careful some will nip at the fines of the slow moving betta's
 
they're not going to get brain damage....... they're underwater and kiss the glass not headbutt it...... the problem is if you put paper or something there then take it away after a long period of time they flare up thinking that they are in the same tank which can make them have a heart attack(more often then not the reason they die when they fight)....... it's best to let them see each other and know there is a barrier between themselves...... after a little while they give up on defending there territory coz they know the others cant get in.......




Did you know they're soo territorial coz in the wild where they are from bahamas and stuff they are born in lil puddles of water when it rains alot and they have to fight to make sure there's enough of a food supply in there lil puddle to live on to reproduce..
