betta fish help!?!?!?!?

I am getting a betta fish soon and i have some questions.

What should i put in the tank?

Can i put those little cleaner snail thingys in there too?

What else do i need for it?

What else you can get depends on how large the tank is, really. Never get snails. My bettas ALWAYS kill them. I don't know why. They'll be fine with any other fish or aquatic creature, but they always murder the snails. Or my tank has a mysterious snail disease that rips their foot off... so... probably the betta is doing it. You could get some ghost/cherry shrimp. They clean the tank and bettas leave them alone. Actually cherry shrimp are great because they multiply like crazy and that means food for your betta.
 
well i personally love those 2 or 3 gallon tanks with real plants in them because bettas will occasionally nibble the roots which is good 4 them and it looks cool too but really all you NEED is a good size bowl about 1-2 gallons in plenty big and some pebbles and maybe a funky colored rock lol and i agree ghost shrimp are perfect tank cleaners

can you get snails? sure if you want. some bettas kill them, some don't. what I'd suggest is the "pest snails" that are on he plants in pet stores. they'll give them to you free. however, understand that having snails does NOT mean you don't have to clean your tank. EVERY tank needs a weekly water change between 10% and 25%.... give or take some depending on the fish. for your tank anywhere in that range is fine.

gravel vacuum (use this for weekly water changes)

ummm i have 2 betta fish and all u need to put in the tank are maybe some rocks\pebbles and mayb a plastic plant. i u get a big enough bowl then u can put little rock structures in it. Yes you can put the snails in. Have fun!
