Betta fish help please?

My male betta (crowntail) that I got from walmart has a larger belly then the one from the pet store.... his belly isnt huge its just a little bigger. He eats like a pig he swims he doesnt have ich and he looks healthy over all. The 1.5 gallon bowl is very clean and the water is filtered and Im getting him a 3 gallon one soon. What could it be or is it normal???

maybe he's full since he's only in a 1.5 gallon bowl. they need at least 5 gallons to be comfortable. try feeding less.

You could try feeding him less because he is going to eat just becuase there is food

Yea, I think he's just fat. Don't worry about it. Just feed them normally.

Hiyaa My Dad has two male betta fish (kept seperate obviously) one lives in my aquarium within a community tank and eats like a pig and he has quite an enlarged belly, the other one is kept in a tank by himself and he doesn't, i think it has something to do with how much they like to think they could eat.. Eyes to big for their belly springs to mind lol. I wouldn't worry unless it consists. Also i think his belly goes down a bit until the next time i feed them. x
