Betta fish, health and well being, stressed out male!?

okay to last night my betta fish were finally ready to mate (at the same time)
my male just started to build his bubble nest (this is at 12am)
i get so excited i put together the breeding tank and i transfer the female
but when i got for the male my hand slips and it slides down the sink
after a few hours of banging on the pipes, i wanted to give up but my mom was determind
she banged on the pipes fo another few hours and declared that she would save my male no matter what
("ill call the plumber in the morning")
now its 3pm and ive got my male back (YAY)
but its really looking awful, i dont want to give up on him now becuz he was apresent to and after all that effort

my male now has;
black spots on his fins
has stoped making a bubble nest, although still has traces of white on fins
stays at the bottom on his tank
(mom sez he hasnt eaten since) loss of appitie

help, i dont want to lose him, how do i get him back and care for him
please give me care tips, and what i should be looking for, in terms of physicall trauma

also, i didnt bother taking my female out of the breeding tank,
should i remove her and start the introduction phase over

right now my males back in his sperate tank and the females in the breeding tank

You cannot continue breeding at this time, or at least with this male.
Your male is out of commission. Isolate him and treat him in a gently filtered, heated aquarium.

Your Betta is stressed out and doesn't know what had happened to it.You should take care of it till it becomes active and normal like it was before. and he will only make bubble nest if he is happy i.e. stress free and healthy

He's pretty much out of commission right now. You're very lucky to have gotton him back alive!
Right now, get him in a warm tank, possibly add a little antibiotic to the water to help stem and prevent any infections. You can add a little aquarium salt as well, this is great for relieving stress and increasing their slime coat, helping to prevent and stop disease.
Fin rot is your most likely disease to look for. Frayed and rotting fins, it's an opportunistic bacteria, so any tears and rips are prime spots for it to get a hold of.
A black spot could be anything, from a burn from soap, chemical, ect. to bruising.
