The web browser is free until June of next year. I know one thing I'll use it for, being able to watch a football game while my Wii has Opera open on Yahoo or CBS Sportsline tracking fantasy football scores and stats.
I think there's a lot more use to having a web browser on your TV and being able to surf with the remote than people think. It's going to be pretty cool if you ask me.
I don't get it. Are we free to browse until June, then we have to cough up $5? Or do we grab the browser sometime between March and May and get it for free and never have to worry about being charged later?
I'm sure during the beta testing stages (up until march) Wii users get to use Opera for free. Then come June you have to pony up 500 wii points to get the full version.
$5 for a peice of software, not bad. And although when I'm at home I would more than likely just browse the internet with my computer, if I take my Wii on the road with me and can join on to someone's wireless network, then I get a free browser
I really hope MSN or AIM capitalises by coming out with a version for the wii.
