Beta fish has red on fin.?

My beta fish had a tough beginning. The person at the pet store said he could live in a half gallon tank without a heater. He began to get sick and not move around a lot. I did some research and got him a good size home with a heater. I also gave him beta fix medicine. Now he is doing great. His color is back, his appetite is back, and he swims around a lot. He's been doing great for a couple of weeks now. However, I noticed today that there is red on his fin (he is blue). He is still swimming around and eating. Nothing has changed, he still seems healthy. Could he have cut his fin? Will he heal? Or is it something else that I should worry about?
It is just like a red mark on his fin.
