im breeding my beta fish and i prepared them exactly how i was suppose to and followed all the steps to get them ready and when i let them go the male and female just look at each other and go away. there have been flares but mostly from the male.also the male is hitting her and she is running away. she hit him a few times but she isnt giving back much of a fight should i separate them? they have been in the tank for about a hour and few minutes if that helps. what should i do???
