I think after a while even besties who love each other need time apart if they keep tearing each other down.
 
I don't know, I kind of disagree. The way Blair treated Serena was uncalled for in my opinion. I totally understand these two have had plenty of fights in the past, and this isn't a ton different, but I'm glad that Serena didn't forgive her so easily. Someone needs to show Blair that she can't act however she wants to all the time. Just my opinion.
 
Yeah, I definitely feel like their trivial fighting mid season will finally be over. Hopefully, at least. :look:
And regardless of whether or not it's Dan/Serena, Nate/Serena, Nate/Jenny, Dan/Vanessa in the end, it'll always be SB. :love:

It really was! I love how Leighton added that little touch with her lips trembling. It was just beautiful.

The ending of this episode was so sad to me. When Blair told Chuck she had him and that's all she needs it was clear she was lying. She's miserable without Serena. They really need each other but I think at the moment their lives are drifting apart. They are no longer living in the same world - going to the same school, interacting with the same people, having the same problems and priorities.
Serena is trying to make it in the real world and gain her mom's respect. Blair is floundering at NYU with only Chuck keeping her halfway grounded. Regardless, they need each other. I foresee them both making some major mistakes in the future without the other there to help.
