Best XMAS movie...

That one with Dudley Moore. Santa Claus: The Movie!
My sister and I grew up watching this film every year on the telly. I dunno why, but we love it :-)

I think they've all been mentioned! I tend to watch these ones over Christmas:

Scrooged
Santa Claus The Movie
Muppets Christmas Carole
National Lampoon Christmas Vaction
It's a Wonderful Life
Gremlins
The Grinch
Christmas with the Kranks
Polar Express
Elf
Love Actually
Home Alone 1 & 2

I've never seen Miracle on 34th Street (either versions) or The Santa Clause

Hoping that that Fred Claus movie is good as we lacked festive movies last year.

I would highly recommend this film also. great family viewing.

Fra-geee-lay ...Must be italian! ( those who've seen it will know ;) )cracks me up everytime

Radio 5 Live are running a "greatest ever Christmas movie" for a forthcoming Mark Kermode show. The choices are:

It's A Wonderful Life (1946)
Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964)
Black Christmas (1974)
Gremlins (1984)
Brazil (1985)
Die Hard (1988)
Scrooged (1988)
The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Brazil? I know there's a christmas scene at the start but I wouldn't exactly call it a Christmas film.

At the moment It's a Wonderful Life is first (surprise, surprise) with The Muppet Christmas Carol second.
