Best wireless carrier

It depends on the area where you use your phone. I live in an area where AT&T and Verizon are strong with the smallers providers having good areas.
My nephew has to use Sprint because that was the only provider that worked at his house.
I had Verizon before I changed to AT&T. Verizon seemed to have better signal with less bars than AT&T, but AT&T had more bars in the areas where I use my phone.

Like fdcom3 said, it really depends on the coverage areas and if they cover your area or not.

I look at provider coverage maps when shopping for a new provider.. if your traveling over the road you will find out quick what kind of coverage a provider has when your out in the middle of nowhere..

Agree that it depends on where you live, and then how much you travel too.
Just from knowing about some objective tests that have been done nationwide, I would say that in terms of coverage & call performance (drops, blocks), the four major U.S. carriers rank like this: (1) Verizon, (2) Sprint, (3) ATT, (4) TMobile.

service provider signal coverage maps do not consider the hills, woods, valleys, etc. so customer service can tell you that their map shows strong coverage in an area where the signal is blocked by topography.
