Best way to take a fish on a road trip?

I have a Betta fish, he has three different sized tanks: the one gallon that he lives in, it is vertical and narrow, one less than half that size that has optional 'dividers' for putting in two fish, if you've heard of it? and the little box that he was in at Petsmart, which I put him in when I clean his tank.
The tank also has four water plants, that don't root down.

I need to take him with me for Spring Break, any suggestions? The tiny box fits in a little compartment in my car, but I'm worried he can't stay in that for nine hours?

That will be so stressful for your fish, I would just have someone feed your fish for you.

with a couple of chips an loads of s&v! oh and a shami kebab for starters - i know greedy! lol

well first of all , betas dont like to be with any plants . and DEFINATELY no other fish .

i think the best thing to do is to take one that is stable and doesnt move around alot .
i wouldnt ty the dividers if i were you , just because .
i would use the big one and not fill it up all the way so that he will still have a lot of room to swim around in ad that way whenever you hit a bump or something that water wont slosh around everywhere .

good luck !
have fun wherever you are going .

he would be fine in that cup thing how long do you think they stay in it at the store?
