Parking in the garage is always an option but...sooner or later you're going to have to park in a somewhat questionable location for one reason or another..
Here's my advice:
1.) Keep the interior clean and completely empty. Jackets, sunglasses, CD's, radars, navigation units, etc. only draw attention to your car. Even having a radar detector or navigation mount puts your more at risk b/c thieves know that there's a good likelihood that the unit is under the seat or in a the glove box.
2.) Same goes for a sound system...this is one of the easiest things for a thief to rip off. Even having the faceplate removed leaves you at risk b/c again, thieves know that most people leave things like that in the car. Imagine if you're parked at a restaurant, bar, club, or even at work and a thief happens to walk by and see a detached faceplate from the stereo and an empty navigation/radar mount? Do you honestly think people actually carry faceplates and navi's/radars inside of the club, bar, work etc??? Of course not..
3.) If you're into modifying your Honda/Acura, don't advertise that your car is modified. Aftermarket wheels, hoods, exhausts, etc just draw attention to your vehicle and because so many people drive Hondas/Acuras, there's always a market for thieves to get rid of the stuff. Wheel locks are always a good idea but I recommend that you order a set from online that's not readily available in local auto stores.
4.) Lastly, use common sense. Don't park in a pitch black alley...always try to be in a decently lit area where there's going to be cars/people passing. And if you have to travel with valuables...always keep them out of sight and stowed away in a locked glove compartment.
Good luck!
