Well it's almost 2009 so I figured it was about time I got an mp3 player.. I was checking out IPOD's but the memory expandability and price of the Sandisk Fuze won me over. Turns out to be a pretty awesome player. Anyways I'm trying to get it hooked up to my Pioneer DEH-4800MP headunit. It has an "IPOD BUS" on the back, if you check out this link you can see the plug I'm talking about and the back of my cd player.

It also has an auxiliary input on the back that takes a headphone style jack. The guy at Best Buy (..yeah I know) told me it would be cheaper and work the same to just plug into the headphone jack on my player and run it to that plug. Well I did that and it does work but I have to crank the volume on the player all the way up to get a normal volume level going out of my speakers. Doesn't seem right to me. I'm wondering if it would work any differently to run it through the IPOD plug? They don't make anything but an FM transmitter that plugs into the bottom of the player so I'm stuck using the headphone jack for output. Any help would be great, thanks
