I am here because I wanted to buy a phone that is web enabled, I do not want an iPhone (maybe later after they get it right), but wanted some suggestions on other web enabled cells.
I guess I'll be sticking with Verizon (they work best where I live) and the suggestions so far are leaning towards the Motorola Q.
Any others? Any Nokias?
I have a friend who is developing cellular web sites for major and minor companies using the .mobi extension. I have invested in a few of these domains. These sites blow away a regular .com on a cellular phone. No wait, it's up and working, so easy to use. So now I have to have a cell with the web after seeing one for myself.

No, I do not work for nor own any of these sites but I am surprised of the number of people looking for such sites. Mobi is relatively new but must meet strict standards. They work flawlessly on all phones/portable devices that are web enabled.
This is not a fly by night operation. It is an effort to standardize all the mobile sites rather than all the prefixes, suffixes, add on domains, sub domains...when simply .mobi will do.
Here is a partial list of some National and International companies using .mobi:

Some pretty slick local/regional sites are:
En-Route.mobi (mapping, road conditions, weather, travel, trip planner)
Boroughs.mobi (New York boroughs of Manhattan, Queens, etc)
SDCA.mobi (San Diego weather, roads, directions, search and even surf reports!)
TheStrand.mobi (galveston Texas)
I know I might sound like a commercial, but I am surprised that there is little knowledge on this subject outside the domain forums.
If you want to see for yourself, go to something like BMW.COM and then BMW.MOBI on your cell phone and see what works best.
Thanks in advance for the tips.
