Best Use of Music in a Movie/Scene

Definitely, also the final fight scene with Oasis' "****in' in the bushes" playing in the background.

Very true. Wes Anderson =

Kill Bill Volume 1 : The music used for Oren Ishii's entrance in the "restaurant"

I can't get enough of Moulin Rouge, Romeo+Juliet & Cruel Intentions soundtrack as well.
The score of Star Wars, Lord of the Ring and The Matrix are pretty good to.

Really catchy :)

Jack Sparrow's theme song for Pirates of the Caribbean is just awesome. It's just so fitting and defines Sparrow. :D

Also love the score throughout Atonement. Love how the score transitions into the sounds in the movie to segue into scenes.

The opening of Donnie Darko (the directors cut one) when INXS - Never Tear Us Apart plays as we see Donnie cycling through the mountain and back home is easily one of the best film openings ever

oh yeah, PotC had perfect score

and Love Actually - during the funeral, or during the Mark/Julie revelation, or the Joan Mitchell song, and basically every scene had the perfectly appropriate music

^ Yep, thats my name. :D

lol. Thank you. Definally a cult classic scene. You could feel her pain, more so because of the song. That movie had a lot of awsome music actually.

In my school, this was a big moment. Everyone was obsessed with "Bittersweet Symphony" after that. The song was pretty big anyway, but the movie helped. Ahhh, high school. Good times. :D

Whatever happened to The Verve anyway? Oh well.

my boyfriend absolutely loves the last of the mohicans, i have yet to see which he thinks is a sin!

i havnt felt some good music in a while in a movie i absolutly loved troy and i thought that went really well and pirates of the caribbeaan

I loved the music is The Perfect Score. I think it suits the moods in each scene.

I can think of two scenes in The Dark Knight where the music really added to that feeling of an adrenaline rush ~ the scene where Batman's rushing to save Rachel, and the final scene.

And the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy basically had an epic score :) as did Titanic.

has anyone ever seen cruel intentions? anyhoo... near the end of the movie, there's a part when the "villian" of the movie is exposed as the fraud that she is (via the notebook of step-brother who, no thanks to her, died saving the girl he loved). very melodramatic, i know, but i still love it. bittersweet symphony played in the background the whole time, and it absolutely fitted that scene perfectly.

Chick Habit by April March at the end of Quentin Tarantino's segment "Death Proof" in Grindhouse, for me.

Yep. That scene is so beautiful anyway, but the music makes it that much more beautiful.

Your name is Britney....right? Sorry, it's been awhile, and I suck at names. :(

You explained it way better than I did though. But you are right, it was really powerful.

In the Virgin Suicides when they introduce Josh Hartnett with Hearts "Magic Man" playing.....absolutely perfect for the intro for this character.
