Best television brand that's not a Samsung?

I want a new TV but I don't really like Samsung-anything. So I know Samsung is supposed to be "the best" brand for TV's but I don't think I want one. What are some other good brands?
I've just never really been impressed with Samsung's products... I'm not suer why I don't like them. I just never have.

why wouldnt you want a samsung, they look the best and perform the best imho... sonys are also good
