Just bought this used van:
What do you think is the best grade and synthetic oil for my application on my 1995 Dodge Ram Van? I've always used Mobil 5-30 for almost all of my previous cars. My van leaks an average of a few drops every few weeks
I definitely would have to consider the advantages of synthetics as well as being thick enough to prevent any possible leaks.
I know synthetics are unusually more thin than thick. My real question is:
"Is there a thick synthetic oil that will have long lasting benefits over conventional as well as thick enough to prevent premature leaking of oil through any possible crevices?"
I want to avoid the synthetic blends, but will use if I have to and is a better choice over full synthetic for my van.
Is MObil 1 a good choice for this instance or is there a better brand for this case?
I appreciate it in advance.
