Perhaps a Rode NT1A for that budget but you'll need to power it (phantom power, as is the case for most condenser mics).
I power mine through my t.c.electronic konnekt 6 audio interface. As always with mics, considering the quality of the lead, a pop shield (for vocals) and so on is important. Ideally you'll treat the room too as most rooms aren't made for vocal recordings and you catch all sorts of reflections coming back into the mic.
Good luck.
