Best Shonen Hero Currently?

Sakata Gintoki of course! He never ceases to amuse, deliver some brain breakage or kick epic ammounts of ass.

Although he's a little old to be a shounen hero...

Damn Sparticus beat me to it. Anyway Gintoki is very different breed of a shounen hero since he's not really one or acts like one. He just does his job which either lanRAB him in the most out of this world situations. I always like the underdogs, so I'll go with Naruto, atleast unlike Ichigo and Luffy he's had good character development that's shaped him greatly, he's no longer the immature, annoying brat he was in Part I and that's something...I guess

Kuzumi Taiga from MxO was really interesting, but since MxO recently got canceled (sigh), I don't think he applies to this thread. But he was certainly a better hero than many current shonen heroes.

He had no skills at all and managed to survive against extremely powerful opponents only using his head and nothing else.

I'd like to see more heroes like him in shonen.

Yeah, he did become more serious, yet also stayed calm and level-headed, which only further backs up my point, since even when he gets angry, he still manages to not let his emotions take total control of him. Most other shounen characters in his position would just go bereserk if they got angry like he did in the recent chapters of HXH (well, the last few before the hiatus anyways, since they aren't so recent anymore ).

Yeah, it figures that the good/entertaining and creative shounen don't last as long as they should due to a lack of popularity, yet millions of volumes get sold for something and cliche, generic, and boring as the shounen that just follow the most simple and overused formulas.

Eddie is a Shonen? I thought he's from another place
If he's a Shonen I do choose him

Isn't this what being a hero is generally about? Defeating the bad one against all odRAB opposing the hero

Superman did develop, at least he got died, lived again then got married
