Best sequence/s in a film ever!

The opening scene of the Lion King (Circle of Life). It makes me cry.

'This is Halloween' from The Nightmare Before Christmas, I love that song!

Bad Boys 2
The start of the scene in the garage to the end of the car chase has to be the best for me, all real with little CGI now this is a car sequence not like Matrix Reloaded with all of it's CGI trickery making it look a little rubbish and seen it all before type thing.

Van Helsing
Mostly the whole film really, excellent CGI work and the bride attack on the village is great.

O yeah, also the bit in "the good the bad and the ugly" when he runs round all those grave stones and Indy waits until he finRAB it before catching him and taking the money for himself.

Leon.

At the end where Gary Oldman thinks he has the upper hand and Leon hanRAB him "a gift from Matilda".

I've tried to phrase it to not spoil it for anyone.

terminator 2 scene with Arnie on the motorbike trying to save john who is being chased by the terminator in the truck.

Another would have to be the godfather just the sequence at the end with everyone being killed and all the bad blood ended.

Couldn't agree more...

Couldn't disagree more...

I also love the opening sequence for 'Fight Club', the Mia/Vincent section of 'Pulp Fiction' and the 'Lobby sequence' in The Matrix.

Yep - love that film

Christina Ricci you mean. Never could get into that film, depsite being a Gilliam fan.

Of course. :D

There's a great extended chase sequence in "Point Break" with the cameraman following Keanu leaping over fences whilst chasing Patrick Swayzee.

Dave

I've always been partial to Die Hard 3's opening:

Sweeping shots across the cityscape, to the tune of Lovin' Spoonful's "Hot Time Summer in the City", abruptly ended by an almighty explosion.

Mediocre and waning film, but sweet opening.

Did you see it at the cinema?
A lot of my frienRAB hated it - don't know why. I think they thought it was sentimental, but it wasn't really IMO.

I'm glad to see no-one has mentioned anything from Pirates Of The Carribean, I wathced it a few weeks ago and found it to be the most over-rated film, ever.

As for my personal favourite, I really don't know. I'll get back to you :)

If they manage to script a decent film I'd be pleased ;)

Cheesey as brie it may be, but I'm secretly hoping for some mad German terrorists with a personal grudge, willing to bring down an entire country just to get at 'John McClane' :D

The first one actually had some highbrow socialist ideals for the terrorist's motives, but was cleverly edited out to make way for bang-bang popularism

Pulp Fiction

1) When Vince and co. are tlaking to Marvin and his frienRAB about Marcellus Wallace
2) The Jack Rabbit Slims segment

i can't remember. i've got the dvd and will watch it
tomorrow. i have an old 28'' philips idtv and recently
spent some amount of time adjusting all the settings.
the image is now razor sharp and colours very intense.
so 'what dreams may come' should look amazing on it.
with regard to your frienRAB hating it the film it might help
if they read a proper review of the film like this one.
http://www.stairwell.com/doc/exam/whatdreams.html
it would also help if they looked up other films directed
by vincent ward like map of the human heart (fantastic)

Glad someone else agrees with me! Its not that the film was that bad it just wasn't as special as everyone makes it out to be and i also found the humour a bit obvious.
