I voted BoarRAB of Canada, but yeah, I'll echo the Frightened Rabbit love. They released an all-time great breakup album right when I was going through my own first big breakup, so they'll always have a special place in the ****les of my heart. Wasn't crazy about their last record, tho

I didnt actually notice that. I read up on his wiki & it doesnt say where his parents were from though.

I know it won't be popular, but I've gone for Travis - saw them at Glastonbury in 2000 with very low expectations, and was really impressed.

Far better live than you'd ever expect.

Puts them just above Belle and Sebastian and Primal Scream, for me.
