Best S60 for Cingular?

One thing to be aware of while using a S60 phone with a QWERTY keyboard on Cingular's network should 'technically' be on the higher priced PDA data plans. It's in the data plan contract wording.

Whether or not you get it (QWERTY device) working, signed up, and on a less expensive plan is another story.

And, another interesting one I saw....is that Cingular can see your IMEI number and phone make/model via the SIM cards, regardless of if you call and activate and/or tell them you have a different phone.

When I bought my E62, the guys at the cingular store tried to get me to buy the higher priced data plan. I told them that I wasn't going to use the internet yet, and was going to wait to see if the phone was gonna work out for me. So I pay the $20 for the media max and that's it.
 
i do the same, but i got mine with 1000 msgs for 29.99, who said you cant watch cingular video because you dont have 3g? i watch cingular video through my e62 all the time and its running on EDGE.
 
I'd personally stay away from N73, I am currently overseas, and am a Cingular user in US. I have seen and tested N73 and N80, and was told to check the store next week for a glimpse at the N95 (don't know if it is true or not), the problem with buying S60 is that you would not be able to use umts/hsdpa in US because they use the 2100, as opposed to 850/1900.

If you don't care about the umts/hsdpa and Edge is enough, then you can't go wrong with N73, I personally prefer it over N80, 10x... another phone to consider could be the E61 (I believe it is quadband), though gsmarena has a very nice search engine where you can filter out phones based on diff builds.

It is 2mps. I think Nokia purposely made the resolution lower than it's current N series to keep the costs low. Branded US phones are topped out w/ 2mps so Nokia didnt need to go over board.
