Best Remake in 2006!

I was going though my 'films that l have seen in the cinema 2006' list and found out that several films on it were remakes! Therefore l decided to see which remake l like best and 'Poseidon' actually came out on top!

Which remake was your favourite (or worst!) of 2006?

You can include 'Casino Royale' if you're desperate! :)
 
'The Hills Have Eyes' - great reworking. The trailer trashing sequence still freaks me out. :eek:

Absolute hanRAB down worst though was 'The Omen'. Boring, practically scene for scene reshoot, stripped of any terror at all. What was the point, honestly? :confused:
 
That is a generalisation, some remakes are better than the originals. 'The Thomas Crown Affair' is a good example, the original is rather mundane. Also, 'The Ring' is an excellent adapation of 'Ringu'. Indeed, many (probably a minority though) think it is superior. Me included. I don't find the original frightening at all.
 
Agree with The Hills Have Eyes remake, very good, far superior to the original imo. The sequel looks rather freaky from the teasers out now.
 
There's a sequel? Yikes! Can't they just let it stand on its own?

I fell for seeing the Texas Chainsaw: The Beginning flick a few months ago. What a rip! :eek: That's that franchise dead!

I dont know any others!!! just the ones i listed they are the best i think.

I am excited for next years remakes, oooooh i cant wait.
 
It really wasn't it was a decent film, nothing more though.

Die Another Day was the worst Bond film, in fact probably the worst film I have ever seen (and I have seen an awful lot of crap in my time)
