With my current phone (Nokia 6820) I am constantly getting little or no signal. In the building I work in and in the hospitals I have to visit per my job, I very rarely get any service.

Is this more due to my provider (Cingular)? Or does the phone have some impact on this?

Is there a Nokia phone out there that consistantly gets good reception? I don't care about a camera, or bluetooth, or any of that. I just need a phone that is going to get good reception as often as possible.

While I prefer Nokia, it's not a given, so if you have a suggestion for another phone I'd be willing to take it into consideration.

yeah if u struggle with reception its down to your network generally. however u could have aproblem with your arial maybe a wire loose.

I think it could definitely be your phone; I just got Cingular about a month ago and got the Motorola V551. I thought it was going to be a good phone for reception from what I read about it. I would have to step outside of my house to get a halfway clear sound, like you I don

Phone. I used to own a motorola T120 I believe the model was. In the basement of my house where I spend all my time I had no signal. I recently bought the nokia 6102 and actually can receive, and make phone calls. I don't have perfect reception but it is good enough to make a phone call and actually have a conversation.

I got to test the 6102 around all the metal and switchgear at the plant. I made a walk though while chatting with my wife, it sounded clear and never acted like it was about to drop. It beat both Motorola
