Best pre-3rd edition s60 phone?

i have been looking for a pre third edition phone recently to run some older programs on that the developers have not updated yet. while i love my e62 i am wondering what you all think was the best pre-3rd edition symbian phone?

that would probably be my true first choice.....they still go for almost $200 used on ebay. Testament to how good that phone was and is.

N70 should do the trick, if you want cheaper then 6630...

The OP uses Cingular, so I'd recommend the 6620 or 7610b.

Personally, I'd pick the 6620 for the large amount of RAM it has, and the "standard" keypad.

Yeah I think N70 will do..

But beware.. According to the Nokia rep I spoke to. The new Nokia N70's runs on 3rd Edition now..

I still think its wrong because they have it on their site's listing as an 2nd Edition.

But to be secured get a 6630.

Well that narrows it down a bit doesn't it? Do either the n70 or the n90 have the 850 band? I know the 6682 does but i was hoping to avoid that one.

n70 or 6620 are easy choices for memory size alone.

I'd say 6620 if you need 850, if not, apparently the N70 was a solid performer. Personally I liked the 6682 better than the 6620, but it does have noticably less RAM. Not USABLY less, I still found it to work great as it should, but you can't have like, 7 programs running at the same time like you could with the 6620. Personally, though, with the more recent s60 phones, I'd say being able to do that is a thing of the past.
