Best place to hike in the winter.?

In the midwest is isn't going to happen. But if you really want to do it, go to California and hike Joshua Tree National Park outside of Palm Springs. The temps are about 70 and the weather is perfect.

I want to get out of the cold and go on a road trip and hike/camp somewhere in the mid-west. What are some good spots?
