Best phone for 3D graphics?

I'm a student doing a thesis on mobile phone 3d graphics. I'm not sure what phone I should get for testing purposes.

i want to get something fairly high-end, so it's representative of phones that will be common for a few years.

Any suggestions? It does need to run Java, I'm not to keen on BREW.
 
V3xx has an nvidia GoForce 4400 and a QVGA screen, it runs 3D Java nicely also.


Its not for VZW though, its a GSM phone.
