I currently use Quicken 2004 and enter all my transactions manually, am now wanting to upgrade.
I currently bank with Chase (don't know if that matters). What I would like to do is have all my transactions automatically feed into my personal finanical software. Then I would only have to enter checks.
With that said how would a software package like this handle checks? I would like to enter my checks as I write them, but don't want them get double counted twice once they clear the bank. How would a software package like this handle this type of transaction?
So:
1. What is the best/easiest to use and cheapest(perhaps FREE) personal banking/financial software package?
2. How would this handle checks? Most of my transactions are debit card so this would simply pass through, but I do write checks from time to time.
thanks.
