It's just too bad that I haven't seen too many 2008 anime. Oh well, here are my choices for the stuff that I can answer (although, some of my choices may actually pertain to 2007, so if that's the case, then you really don't have to count it):
Best Villain: Light Yagami (Death Note)
Best Moment: Some part in Death Note which I can't say because its a huge spoiler.
Best Japanese Game: Ninja Gaiden 2 (I really have been wanting to check out Dragon Ball: Origins, though)

Best Manga: Rurouni Kenshin (Vizbig Edition); (I would have liked to say Death Note, though, but that already has enough popularity as it is)
Anime of the Year: Death Note (dub; since the dub was still airing this year)
Quick question - what are the terms for "2008?" Like, would Death Note count? It was releasing in Japan in 2006, but didn't end in America until earlier this year. What about streaming? Toei has been streaming Slam Dunk and Fist of the North Star - both decades old - for the first time, legally, on Crunchyroll this year. Other stuff, too, like release schedules and all that...
Lots of people answering lots of categories now! Keep it up!
Added.
They all look fine to me.
Yes. Anything that had any releases in either country, at any time in the series, counts. For the Crunchyroll stuff, I added a special category for it in my second post, and another one for anything streamed for the first time legally this year.

I just realized that the majority of those whom actually put aside time to fill this out are putting all their votes towarRAB shows aired on [as] and Ani-Monday.
It's a shame to see the lesser known shows getting little attention at all, considering quite a few of them are far better than those aired on the channels I previously stated.
It's been more than a month since the last votes, and there are only a few days left of the year, so if there are no more by Tuesday the 30th, I'll add a poll with the 3 nominees for Anime of the Month, so at least we'll have a winner for that.
Best Hero: Simon (Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann)
Best Heroine: Masane- Witcrabroadlade
Best Villain: Light Yagami (Death Note)
Best Giant Robot Anime: Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann

Best Fanservice (for men): N/A
Best Series on TV: Gurren Lagann
Best Series on DVD: One Piece
Guiltiest Pleasure- Hell Girl
Anime of the Year: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Nevermind. Thanks to Beat, the Anime of the Month, unless someone else votes for one of the ones it was tied with, is, for the second year in a row in this two-year-so-far awarRAB thread, TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN! For the record, it's what I would've voted for. Of course, there's still time to change that.
honestly I think the best dub was Magikano because the show is utterly worthless, but because of the jokes and things inserted into the 'reversion dub' or whatever they call it I actually found it pretty funny and watched it on demand.
Best Hero: Lelouch. He's the anti-Light, and for that I'll always appreciate him.
Best Heroine: Sumeragi Noriega from Gundam 00. Don't worry, if you don't get why right now, you will.
Best Villain: Yeah, I'll echo Light. He's a massive bastard.
Best Giant Robot Anime: Gurren Lagann for super, Gundam 00 for real.
Best Giant Robot Itself:
00 Gundam
Best Moment: Light's laugh in the final Death Note episode. That was just bone-chilling.
Best Japanese RPG with Anime Style Cutscenes: Valkryia Chronicles. It goes well beyond the standard. Cutscenes? Practically the entire game is maintains a very high standard of artistic quality.
Best Dub: Ouran Host Club. The performances are essential to the humor working as well as it does.
Best Performance from Voice Actors: Brad Swailie as Light. See Death Note's final episode.
Best Soundtrack: Gundam 00. Kenji Kawai has amazing talent, and he really shows it off in this show.
Best Death:
Light's downfall in Death Note
Best Action: Gurren Lagann, just because of the sheer scale of some of the battles.
Best Comedy: Ouran Host Club. It's impossible not to laugh at it.
Best Suspense: Code Geass. I'll give it this, it knows how to serve up cliffhangers.
Best Sci-Fi: Gundam 00. I'd love to say Toward the Terra, but Gundam 00 does too good a job at portraying its alternate A.D. timeline. I'd really urge people to pay attention to the former, though.
Best Drama: Victorian Romance Emma. It's romance, so I figure it counts. This series really is a hidden gem, give it a look. If you like Le Chevalair D'eon's historical context, you'll love the faithfulness of the Emma series when it comes to Victorian England.
Best Fantasy: Tsubasa Chronicle: Tokyo Revelations. That was one kickass OVA. I really hope it gets licensed eventually.
Guiltiest Pleasure: Macross Frontier
Best Fanservice (for men): Gurren Lagann. Shameless and unapologetic.
Best Fanservice (for women): Ouran Host Club. Is there really any doubt?
Best Movie: The Girl Who Leaped Through Time
Best Series on TV: Gundam 00. It'll only get better from here, folks.
Best Series on DVD: One Piece
Best DVD Feature: Hmm. Probably Ouran Host Club's dub outtakes.
Anime of the Year: Gundam 00. Yeah, I'm biased, but even for a long time Gundam fan like me I've been constantly surprised by it. It isn't often that a series sets my expectations high and then goes even further beyond them.
I haven't seen nearly enough 2008 anime I'm afraid, but I'll just do my best to catch up and try to give some of them their due next year.
Best Hero: Lelouch (Code Geass)

Anime of the Year : Death Note
Sorry, but since that was after New Year's, and since it would cause a tie, it won't count. So the winner for Anime of the Month is still Gurren Lagann again. I'll figure out the winners for the rest of the categories in the next day or so, when I have more free time. Here's to another year of anime, including Gurren Lagann, which can win again in 2009, since there will be releases in 2009.
