Best New Console of the Year goes to!

I was a bit baffled by their choice at first....but then I realized it was under the Gear category...and they were being judged on hardware alone. They even say that if the judgement was based on a broad perspective that includes software, that it would be an entirely different argument. I'm doubting the prize would go to the PS3 in that case.
 
that's retarded, so basically it's just comparing wii hardware to ps3 hardware, since they're the only new consoles for 2006. what's the point of that?
 
i have a Wii and the Wii is selling like hot cakes buuut.. it doesnt really have games yet.. and the out look is alil bleek. sure supersmash bros looks good and mario is gonna be good.. but nintendo needs to pull in some 3rd party support to make games speficly for the Wii..

when i play call of duty or need for speed on my wii im left alil disapointed. while the controls are inavative and cool when it comes down to it the fun factor wares off fast and you find your self wishing for some anolog nubs, on top of that theres no online play at all. which is alil frustrating, ive got 3 or 4 friends with wii's but we cant play online becasue there are no online games and there really arent any coming out.

the Wii is selling but to who? non-gamers, is there target audiance and that pretty much sums it up.. the adverage gamer (male 18-28) wants to play Halo or Resistance online and the Wii doesnt offer anything like that.. it offers.. elibits...

the Wii could be awesome they just need to focus on what it is and stop porting games to it or it will have the ame problems the PSP has.
 
I'm 24 and Halo sucks, haven't played Resistance. I like COD3 on the Wii because I don't have to use the pain in the butt anolog nubs. I can't wait until the new EA Division dedicated to the Wii comes out with Golf.
