Best music phone other than Sony erricsson

Sound quality has to do with the encoding of the file itself and the type of headphones you are using.

Do you have something against Sony Ericsson?

Yeah i like the SE phones too but they are a little too pricy and theyre too common out here.
I dont want "exceptional" sound quality, but something listenable to

at the moment i agree with you. I think motorola is longgggggg overdue for a change in UI and they just haven't focused any efforts on the music aspect either..nor the camera aspect.. hmmm...so what do they focus on?

Samsungs - Can't multitask like SE phones. So you can't listen to music and take pictures at the same time.
Motorola - All of them use microSD (transflash) which is limited to 512mb. Plus their UI sucks.
Sony Ericsson - Can multitask, amazing UI, w900 has 470mb of internal memory, and you can buy a 2gb mspd to add even more memory.

This is supposed to come out soon according to Phonescoop.

It addresses many of the shortcomings of its predecessor (which I have in my pocket).

It has USB2.0 for fast data transfer speeds, A2DP for stereo Bluetooth, mini-SD card slot (2GB instead of 512MB), a 3.5mm headset jack (no adaptors) and more.

Mr. Wiz. - It's interesting that you bash the ROKR for having 512MB of memory while the W600i you are using only has 256MB internal with no expandable card.

You want a mediocre sounding phone that's cheap?

My recommendation to you then is to save your money so that you can get an exceptional phone that functions properly. Don't waste your money now just because you want to buy a phone now.

Save your money and get a good phone!

Okay, what would you suggest for someone who is looking for this:

PREFERABLY MOTOROLA
MINIMUM 30 SECONDS OF VIDEO RECORDING
CALENDAR W/ALARM (& ALARM CLOCK)
FULL-DUPLEX SPEAKERPHONE
1.3MP OR HIGHER CAMERA
REMOVABLE MEMORY
5+ HOUR TALK TIME
GOOD CALCULATOR
VOICE RECORDER
ALARM CLOCK
MP3 PLAYER

Basically, something that could be used as a stand alone MP3 Player and camera. The E2 seems to be it.

^ if you MUST have a moto then the only motorolas i can think of with all those features are the V3i and V3x.

i was a strict moto fan once. i switched to SE and ive been happy ever since.

get a w800.

Okay, I will look in to the W800. I used to like Nokia but steered away from them. Their calculator wasn't powerful enough (I use it everyday on the road), it took too long before I could turn on the speakerphone and, on their flip phones, closing the flip didn't close the last application and take me to the "home screen". I need a good calendar/scheduler and alarm clock too.

I've used Samsung before but I don't like their UI.

The last time I used a SE was when the cell co. went by Aerial Communications and, as I'm sure you are aware, the phones weren't too fancy back then.

Thank you for your input!

I'm trying to do my homework but what the heck is the difference between the D750i and the W800i?

I've searched and only come up with the amount of memory that comes standard.

What else?
