Best multimedia authoring software?

I'm looking for an authoring software where I can create a video from pictures, video clips, text and music and looks very professional. Can you suggest any software that includes special effects? Thanks.
Hmm. I have second thoughts about Windows Movie Maker.

Windows Movie Maker is capable of all this. Most of the videos on youtube and alot of actual movies are edited with this software.
