What is the best mp3-playing phone on the market at the moment (or in the near future)? I'm hoping that I can combine my phone and iPod into a single device, but I'm not sure how attainable that goal is. Basically, the only requirement is that it sync to a computer and play mp3s in an uncrippled way. Is there any small device (i.e. phone, smartphone, PDA) that can do a decent job of making calls and playing MP3s?

BTW, I'm currently with Sprint, and was thinking about the LG Fusic until I read this review for it. I'm totally open to switching services if the phone that I want is out there.
 
for music i'll sudgest a walkmen series phone the W850 is the newest and one of the best w/ memory stick duo it comes w/ 1 gig but i'm not 100% sure... it could put a 4 gig in 2 gig i know for sure 4 gig nto 100%

but the walkmen series is one of the best great battery life and overall funtion
 
Not sure what sprint's lineup is going to be in the near future, but if you want the phones with the most flexible features you need to be on a GSM carrier like Cingular or T-Mobile.

I'd say the Sony Ericsson W810 is the best music-centric phone available to North America. Although The Motorola ROKR E2 isn't technically available in the US you can buy one online and sitck a SIM cad in in ad you are good to go. The E2 probably has the best multimedia feature set of any motorola phone and it's basically what the ROKR E1 should have been.

Although it's missing the GSM 850 band, the Nokia N91 is a solid music phone as well with a 4GB harddrive and a soon to be available 8GB HD. If you like smartphones the N95 also looks like it has solid music functionality.
 
Nice pics, but the website is not very helpful in terms of specs.

Any idea what the size of the on-board flash memory?
Does it have a memory slot such as microSD?
What about the GSM bands?
Bluetooth?
Does it have a standard 3.5mm jack or adapter?
Is the baterry life as short as the actual Nokia 8800?
