Best movies to watch when stoned?

I'm curious to know what films people have considered excellent when stoned.....and why? You know, that feeling that you were being entertained on another level. Of course if there are any kiRAB reading this, being stoned is painful and is actually a death sentance in many third world countries.

My first recommendation is a film staring Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins called 'Meet Joe Black' . Wow I was so blown away by it. . As to the why it was so good, well I'd have to say its pace was just right and although deep, didn't have a complicated plot!

Well, you could go with the obvious Cheech and Chong ones, but if you want to laugh yourself stupid for 90 minutes you can't beat "George Of The Jungle"

Didn't think it was that funny sober though...

Im sure this thread is being watched closely so

Allegedly

Gattaca is immensly enjoyable, neeRAB a second viewing to get the whole plot together

Meet Joe Black has probably one of the best music scores going for it, which may be the reason for enjoyng it under the influence

Allegedly

Up In Smoke is soooo funny

Generally ANY decent film should be better when watched stoned but in films with a druggy theme like Midnight Express it's an absolute necessity.

If the director was stoned then you should be too.:D

I always found the Bollywood films on cable to be the best. I remember playing Welcome To The Jungle over what I was watching, and the dancing just seemed to fit in perfectly.

OK I've just watched a film that will blow you away and is truely out there. It's called 'Waking Life' . Trust me its very clever, rent it out then get back on here with your thoughts about it. Its on a par with the Matrix in terms of conceptual ideas of reality. Let the music play on!

Looks very different, but animation films really have to be so well drawn for them to keep me interested for nearly two hours. Maybe the moving backgrounRAB do it.

Ill have to dust off Ghost in the Shell sometime

i just watched that waking life movie....preeeeetyy weird!! I liked how when the guys talked and explained things little visual clues came up and went around the screen and stuff, that was cool. Some of the stuff they said in the movie was pretty interesting, however it just felt a bit of a weird movie as there was no proper storyline..or maybe thats the point!
