Best movies of 2008

I don't get why there's so much collective love for Juno. I thought that, for a comedy, it was seriously unfunny. On top of that, it sent out the wrong message with every opportunity it got, and the characters and their reactions (especially the parents') were incredibly unrealistic.

I thought it was the most overhyped wag of bank I've ever seen, in any year.
 
A friend of mine said I am just like Juno, don't know if that's good or bad... without the pregnant part though.

I had a smile on my face through most of the film whenever Juno spoke, just adored the script. It's not a laughs a minute comedy...

I don't know if it was the best film - but it was certainly the best cinema experience of the year. I saw Cloverfield again recently on DVD and was fairly underwhelmed. What was so good seeing it first time was no knowing what was going to happen. It's not a film which gets better on repeated viewing.

Wall-E was a pure delight but otherwise I don't think it has been a great year for film.
