Best Movie Death

The shark in Jaws was good.

Willem Dafoe (Bobby Peru) in "Wild At Heart" was funny.

The first death that sprang to mind when I saw the thread title was Alan Rickman (Hans Gruber) in "Die Hard". Not sure why, though.

I have considered 2.

Charlton Heston in El Cid as he still got to lead out his troops the next day.

Marlon Brando in the Godfather.

It's not my favourite but how about Samuel L Jackson in Deep Blue Sea. It's a crap film but I was impressed that Renny Harlin had the guts to get rid of the biggest name so early in the film.

Unexpected deaths; Sam Neil in Red October and Charlton Heston being crucified at the end of The Omega Man to save the world.

Off the top of my head I can't think of any star who has died in as many films as Chuck Heston.

I like surprise deaths, that you are not really expecting, like Samuel L Jackson in Deep Blue Sea and Steven Seagal in the one on the plane with Kurt Russell, I kept thinking 'He'll be hanging on outside and come back at the end.' But he never did. How about Bruse Willis in the Sixth Sense, we all see the death scene, just don't realise it...

A moving one that springs to mind is Kate Winslet's character Sylvia in "Finding Neverland" when she goes to Neverland...

Oh, and the one in "Cold Mountain", I wasn't expecting that!
