Best midi-controller-n-keyboard combo for my needs?

I'm hunting for a set-up that has the following:

1. Midi-capable, for use with sequencing programs, soft-synths, etc.
2. "Real-feel" style, weighted keys
3. One that gives me a lot of freedom, concerning sound. I want one with a deep, rich, warm piano sound, as well as options for a wide variety of programmable goodness. Any available sound palettes that I can buy for plug-and-play, SD-card fun need to be Mac-compatible.
4. Sturdy enough to handle travel.
5. 88-key models are preferable, because I like the option of indulging in the whole keyboard :D
6. The best bang for my buck, but they MUST include all of the above, first.

For reference, I grew up playing a Baldwin upright, and now I have a Baldwin baby grand in my classroom. I'm partial to the rich sound and the feel of the keys, as a result. I don't mind a teensy bit of muddiness, and I like to keep a bit of a distance from overly bright, acoustic piano sounds.
