I did a quick search, and found nothing (within 2 or 3 pages) about this.....
I've got bug spatters all over my new windshield
What's everyone's "BEST" method for cleaning your windshield, and keeping it looking NEW?......Also, tell me what NOT to do.
Thanks!!

Geezer,
I read in one of these forums about taking a hot towel and laying it on the windshield. It's works very well, melts those little suckers right off!

Important.... Don't let the wife find you using her brand new super soft bath towels!!:fight2:

I'm not sure of the best cleaning method but for upkeep I"ve use lemon pledge for years and have had success keeping my screens clear and wind slippery. I also won a can of proper windscreen polish when I went to the Midnight sun roast and rodeo up in Beaver Lodge Alberta back in 1999,but I can't remember the name. I remember people commented you could buy it at the shops, but I just use the pledge now.

I use Meguire's Mirror GLaze plastic cleaner and they also have a plastic polish. This works very well for your purpose. Don't clean the surface using a circular motion but clean in one direction only. (up and down or side to side). The circular motion over time will create a swirl affect on the surface and it will reduce visability, especially at night with the glare of headlights on the shield. :bluethum:
