Best Martial Arts actors

I'm no expect on the genre so will start off with probably the four I know best.

Bruce Lee
Jackie Chan
Jet Li
Donnie Yen

I grew up with Jackie Chan films. I loved the way he brought comedy into his movies so he would be my personal favourite although I accept that others, in particular Lee, would be better martial artists.

I've only seen Yen in 4 films but Ip Man is definately a modern classic imo.

I was thinking about both. Who is the best to watch. Does it matter about their acting ability or the film or do you just skip to the action scenes?

It was mentioned in another thread about Tony Jaa having the best action scenes ever in probably the worst film/story ever.


I think Jackie Chan did ok in his 80s movies before he started concentrating too much on his american dialogue.

Bruce lee without doubt. seagal is close 2nd although his recent films have been crap. i do enjoy jackie chan films as well.
